A short fantasy story

A young photographer named James walked in the forest in the evening. The forest had a view of the sea, the place was beautiful, he often photographed the surroundings. It was an ordinary summer evening, James went out to the cliff, overlooking the sea. He was preparing to take a photo when he heard a rumble from the sky. It was getting louder. James looked up and saw a giant fiery meteor. He flew into the sea with a terrible roar. Seconds later he cursed loudly in the distance. There was no explosion, the meteor fell into the water with a giant splash. James stood for a minute and looked in the direction of the fall. Then he saw a strange object in the sky, it was descending. An object fell nearby. James ran to that place. When he came running, he saw a strange aircraft. He was broken, James stood rooted to the spot. Then he saw a man in strange clothes getting out from under the rubble. He ran up to help. The man said: Infection, everyone died. Such a blow. James didn’t understand what he meant. The man stood up and began a conversation with a stranger.
“Who are you?” said James.
— I am Nelat, the captain of the ship. The stranger said, shaking the dirt from his clothes.
– What ship??
“Alira, he just fell,” Nelat said and put on his cap.
— How the ship could fall?
— The meteorite hit, everything was covered.
– What are you talking about??
– What planet is this?? – Nelat said and took out some kind of device from his pocket.
– Earth, are you okay??
– I’m fine, go on your way.
– I need to know what happened.
– You don’t need to know anything, get out of here.
Nelat went into the forest and James never saw him again. He went home and began to think about what had happened to him. A week later, he heard that a UFO was seen in the forest yesterday, eyewitnesses said that it landed in the forest and took off. Strange things washed ashore all week, and people in the forest met a strange stranger who asked them where he was.
